1. Clinical Analysis, Rabies Antibody Titter Test

Depending on the destination country, it is sometimes necessary to perform clinical analyses on the pet to enable it for travel. For example, for your pet’s entry into the European Community, a blood sample must be taken to conduct a rabies antibody analysis. This test needs to be carried out in a laboratory approved by the European Community.
Another example is the clinical analyses required for a dog to enter South Africa (Brucella, Trypanosoma, Dirofilaria, etc.).
On the other hand, to bring your pet into the United States, it is necessary to rule out the presence of the Screwworm (Gusano Barr
2. Microchip

The microchip is a device the size of a grain of rice that is implanted in the back of the neck using an needle. This is also a requirement for entry into almost all countries for your pet and serves as its identification number. There are two types of microchips: a 10-digit one and a 15-digit one. At PETWINGS, we only use 15-digit microchips, also known as ISO chips. These are the only ones that can be universally read and work with almost any type of scanner. While the needle used to insert the microchip is slightly larger than a routine vaccination needle, with a bit of ice on the area to be implanted, the process becomes almost painless and extremely fast.
3. Health Certificate

It is a document issued by a licensed veterinarian indicating that the animal is fit to travel. When issuing this certificate, PETWINGS conducts a complete clinical evaluation of your pet and, in some cases, performs blood tests. We place great importance on this evaluation as it is the only way to ensure a successful journey.
4. Export Certificate

Most countries require this document for your pet to enter. It is issued by the National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa). To obtain the certificate, it is necessary for your pet to undergo an inspection and meet all the requirements of the destination country, as well as the ones Peru demands for animal exportation. This process can sometimes take between two and six hours, depending on the workload at this government entity. However, at PETWINGS, we take care of it as quickly as possible, always ensuring your pet remains comfortable and relaxed during the process.
5.Freight & Customs

In some cases, the transport of your pet may not be possible as excess baggage but as cargo. In this process, PETWINGS also takes care of all the details, from reservations and selecting the best route to completing the airway bill, customs clearance, and finally, monitoring your beloved pet throughout the journey until it reaches its destination. It is important to note that the personnel handling the shipments are veterinarians with a deep love for animals, ensuring that your pet’s care and health are in the best hands.
6. Import Permit

Countries such as South Africa, China, Japan, among others, require the processing of a prior import permit before the entry of the pet. This document is efficiently and swiftly handled by PETWINGS, thanks to our contacts worldwide. Only through this process can we ensure a smooth entry for your pet without any complications.
7. Kennel

At PETWINGS, we offer a wide range of plastic kennels for your convenience. It is important to emphasize that each pet requires a customized size to ensure their comfort and safety during the trip. We have flexible kennels, cabin kennels, and if none of our standard kennels fit your pet, we can design and build a custom one. We construct kennels in both wood and aluminum. We offer air conditioned crates which can be rented or purchased.
8. Lodging

If your pet needs a home to be accommodated before their trip, whether it’s for a few days or a few months, at PETWINGS we have a reserved place for them. We also provide lodging services for pets coming to different countries and needing a place to be pampered until their owners can settle down.
